Healthcare Customer Service Representative (HYBRID)

Location: 101 North Waukegan Road, Lake Bluff, IL 60044

Schedule: Hybrid - 2 days in office (Tue & Wed) + 3 days remote (Mon, Thurs, Fri)

Pay: $18.00/hour

Start Date: April 6th

Contract: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

This is a HYBRID healthcare customer service role where you'll support clinics, dialysis centers, and healthcare professionals over the phone. Your job is to provide accurate information about laboratory tests, resolve issues quickly, and ensure every call is documented with precision.

You'll be part of a team that plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate lab reporting for patients nationwide.

What You'll Do

Handle a high volume of incoming calls from healthcare clients

Answer questions about lab test requirements, specimen handling, and requisitions

Notify clients about abnormal test results or missing information

Document all call details accurately in the internal system

Communicate with internal teams such as Sales, Clinical Support, and Operations

Assist with departmental projects as needed

Help new staff during onboarding (as assigned)

Requirements

High School Diploma required

1-2 years of call center or high-volume phone experience preferred

Strong multitasking, follow-through, and time-management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Proficient with Salesforce, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel

Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

Comfortable communicating with healthcare professionals

Compliance

Background check required

Drug test required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
