Customer Service Representative - Healthcare (Durable Medical Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara

Pay: $22/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Assignment Type: Short-Term Temp

Job Summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you will handle patient and referral inquiries, resolve issues related to orders, and ensure high-quality service across multiple communication channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of inbound/outbound calls, emails, faxes, chats, texts, and web inquiries.
  • Receive and process orders for durable medical equipment and healthcare services.
  • Provide accurate updates regarding new orders, resupplies, pickups, and exchanges.
  • Deliver professional, compassionate, and timely customer support to patients, caregivers, and referrals.
  • Troubleshoot equipment concerns and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
  • Resolve patient/referral complaints with urgency and identify effective solutions.
  • Follow all compliance standards, policies, and quality guidelines for every interaction.
  • Maintain documentation accuracy and adhere to best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and solution-identification skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Active listening skills with the ability to paraphrase and summarize clearly.
  • High level of personal accountability and emotional intelligence.
  • Reliable time management and organizational skills.
  • Computer: Basic Windows proficiency.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of call center experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of healthcare or health insurance customer service experience preferred.
  • Remote work experience a plus.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
