Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated customer service representative to join our team on a contract basis in Huntington Beach, California. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the enrollment process for new members, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data collection and verification. This position is ideal for someone who excels in customer service and has experience working in healthcare or insurance environments.

Responsibilities:

Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers, addressing questions and resolving concerns regarding enrollment.

Handle enrollment applications by entering them into the company's database and verifying their accuracy.

Process member enrollment and disenrollment requests, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.

Collaborate with colleagues to resolve system rejections and maintain accurate records within the enrollment database.

Conduct regular reconciliations of enrollment files to ensure data integrity and address discrepancies.

Manage eligibility change data and update member records as needed.

Research and resolve issues related to enrollment system errors or exceptions.

Ensure documentation is maintained and updated in accordance with organizational standards.

Utilize multiple computer systems efficiently to input and retrieve data.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support enrollment activities.

Requirements:

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, preferably within Medicare managed care or healthcare insurance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Demonstrated ability to handle data entry tasks accurately, with a preferred typing speed of 55 words per minute.

Knowledge of Medicare guidelines is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a detail-oriented approach.

Ability to adapt to changes and work with multiple computer systems effectively.
