Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our client's team in Hartford, Connecticut. As a key member of our branch, you will provide exceptional service to customers while managing transactions with accuracy and efficiency. This is a contract position, offering an opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering superior service and promoting our products.

Responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and processing transactions promptly and accurately.

Handle money transfers, bill payments, and money order sales efficiently at the teller's window.

Perform daily teller closeout tasks, including balancing cash drawers and generating end-of-day reports.

Ensure proper identification and documentation are collected for transactions exceeding specific thresholds.

Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures while adhering to industry regulations.

Accurately reconcile end-of-day reports with transaction records and submit for supervisory review.

Scan and file customer identification and transaction documents securely and correctly.

Promote company products and services by identifying customer needs and providing relevant referrals.

Send thank-you cards to new customers and maintain logs for tracking.

Execute additional duties as assigned to support branch operations and marketing efforts.

Requirements:

Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or retail banking environment.

Strong skills in handling inbound and outbound calls, with a focus on professionalism and efficiency.

Expertise in transaction processing, including order entry and money transfers.

Ability to work accurately under pressure while balancing cash drawers and reconciling reports.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to high-value transactions and documentation.

Proficiency in using computer systems and maintaining secure records.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive customer relationships.

Detail-oriented with the ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.
