Senior Cloud Engineer

Genesis10 is partnering with a top-tier organization to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer in a Direct Hire capacity. This role offers a competitive salary range of $91,000-$153,000 depending on experience, plus an OIP 7.5% bonus. This position focuses on profitable cloud adoption, cloud ecosystem innovation, and secure, scalable Azure Gov Cloud operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support of the Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud ecosystem, including installations, configuration, deployments, integrations, updates, and administration using Azure Kubernetes, Terraform Enterprise, GitHub, and other tools.
  • Drive profitable adoption of cloud-based services across the enterprise.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security controls, threat protection, identity and access management, and data protection standards.
  • Manage data feeds and integration processes to ensure reliable data exchange between systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud ecosystem performance.
  • Conduct triage and resolution for cloud issues and outages.
  • Participate as an active member of cross-functional project teams, aligning with senior leadership on design and execution.
  • Collaborate with server, storage, database, security, and application teams.
  • Pursue continuous learning and adoption of new technologies in cloud automation, CI/CD, and process improvement.
  • Design, implement, and operate complex cloud solutions.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and data backup standards are followed.
  • Adhere to ITIL processes, including ticket resolution and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Four (4) or more years of experience in cloud engineering or a related technical field.
  • Current Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud experience (critical requirement).
  • Strong communication skills, self-starter mindset, and positive attitude.
  • Stable work history-seeking long-term, committed employees (no frequent job changes).
  • Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, scripting, deployment, integration, automation, and orchestration.
  • Skills in problem solving, time management, customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Advanced understanding of public/private cloud, IaaS, data security standards, virtualization, containerization, DevOps, networking, and scripting.
