Job Title

Required qualifications: SUBCONTRACTOR personnel assigned shall have at least five (5) years' experience in creating calculations, studies, reports, drawings, and model/simulations. Experience and credentials of proposed individuals will be submitted by the SUBCONTRACTOR and reviewed by CONTRACTOR to confirm acceptability.

Preferred qualifications: Subject Matter Experts or Senior Engineers with 15 to 20 years of work experience with a process engineering degree or equivalent, to include the following areas of experience:

  • PFD and P&ID development
  • Process Equipment design
  • Design and operation of liquid radioactive waste systems
  • Strong understanding of Waste Transfer Vault requirements and the interface between the Tank Farms Waste Transfer Vault and the HLW Facility
  • Process analysis experience for the single melter study which evaluated implications of various flowsheet options on mission completion
  • Nuclear waste processing experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following modeling/simulation software, or similar/equivalent software:
    • Aspen Process Performance Simulation (APPS)
    • AVEVA Process Simulation
    • Twinn Witness (preferably Twinn Witness 27)
  • Slurry transport experience
  • Offgas equipment/treatment (e.g., electrostatic precipitation, carbon bed adsorbers, scrubbers, catalytic oxidizers) experience
  • Ceramic or glass manufacturing experience
  • ASME NQA-1 design experience
