Career Services Coordinator

Now hiring a Career Services Coordinator to support a vocational assistance program serving agricultural workers in Aroostook County. Employee will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, health, dental, and vision insurance, and retirement account, as well as an excellent Monday-Friday schedule. Applicants must have a valid driver\'s license and reliable vehicle, as this role requires frequent travel. Full-time/Days; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required. $17.00 - $21.00/hr.; benefits available after introductory period concludes.

The Career Services Coordinator will connect farm workers and other targeted groups in Aroostook County with meaningful employment opportunities. This role focuses on building strong relationships with local employers and community organizations, supporting participants through training and job placement processes, and helping program participants overcome potential barriers to success. Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers and community organizations to create employment opportunities.
  • Support participants throughout training and job placement, including career discovery, skill development, and retention.
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment to identify eligible program participants.
  • Develop individualized employment plans based on participant assessments and barriers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date participant records, including case management and program documentation.
  • Conduct labor market research to inform job development strategies.
  • Collaborate with community partners, employers, and program staff to expand opportunities and services.
  • Represent the program on committees, boards, and in community engagement efforts.
  • Participate in all required training sessions for program and professional development.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; additional training or experience in job placement, workforce development, or marketing is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience providing services to targeted populations and/or marketing/outreach.
  • Experience collaborating with community resources or agencies to support participants.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel within the region.
  • Valid driver\'s license and access to a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
