Design new wind turbine blades, interfacing with turbine and component design teams to optimize blade and interface designs;
Design, develop, and implement multi-objective structural design (designing structures to meet multiple goals), analysis, and optimization of detailed material used to make the blade structure;
Design, develop and implement multi-fidelity engineering tools to increase the accuracy, speed, efficiency and overall quality of the blade structural design and analysis process;
Design, develop, and integrate new design methodologies into engineering models and computational tools;
Working with blade material and testing teams to validate engineering models, material properties, and overall blade design process
Support the prototyping and production of new blade designs, draft and communication of all structure requirements through production documentation
Lead blade component certification efforts with local and international certification entities
Support the root cause analysis process for blades from factory to field; Develop detailed analytical models and Finite Element (FE) models to support RCA and corrective action plans for wind turbine damage and failures;
Requirements:
**Education Requirements;** Master's Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with a focus on Structural Design (foreign equivalent is OK)
