Process Engineer/Line Leader

We are a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) making some of the world's best loved brands like Gillette, Fairy and Oral.

Where you work depends on several things. Manufacturing Line/Area Managers are responsible for:

All results on their production line or processing area

Lead a team and develop systems to eliminate losses and create sustainable results

Build long term capability in their area, systems, and technicians and implement daily systems that enable us to produce the highest quality products.

You daily work could encompass any of the following:

Managing, coaching, and building capabilities in the line/processing area technicians

Identifying, prioritizing, analyzing, and eliminating line losses and inefficiencies

Delivery and start-up of new equipment, initiatives, and projects

Collaborating with technical experts, other functions, and other manufacturing sites to create the best solutions

Creating and improving standards and systems to help us achieve the performance targets for the production line or processing area

As a Process Engineer/Line Leader you will learn the required technical manufacturing skills, onboard to IWS, develop general leadership skills, and leverage digital analytics. The Process Engineer/Line Leader will be part of the line triad and support the continuous improvement cycle for the line, including owning daily direction setting and run to target as part of the execution.

Responsibilities

Drive Operational Excellence: Understand and drive the proper execution of the HS&E and Quality foundations.

Own and manage a DMS for the Line.

Act as a coach for the EO to drive IWS progress, perfect execution of the SWP and improvement of the standards.

Eliminate Losses via continuous improvement cycles:

Conduct thorough assessments via RE analysis, touch mapping and weekly Hoshin.

Propose and implement solutions that streamline processes, eliminate failures, and reduce manual intervention.

Data management and visualization skills/tools in one or more of the following: Databricks, SQL, KNIME, Tableau, Power BI, JMP/SPSS or similar).

Support and Lead Digital Solutions Adoption:

Facilitate the integration of new digital tools and technologies within the organization.

Provide training and support to team members on the effective use of digital solutions to ensure widespread adoption.

Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of digital systems and processes.

Drive Value Creation:

Participate in the yearly loss analysis process, identifying trends and potential areas for improvement.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define solutions that drive Net Sales (NS) and enhance overall operational performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices in operations.

Participate in a site Pillar network.

Success Criteria:

Onboarding training completed within 6 months.

Qualified in Loss Elimination tool - UPS (WPI)

Delivery of Analyses and Models transforming business outcomes with penetrating insights.

Business decision impact - driving new insights, resource/time/cost optimization, etc.

No impact on Safety and Quality

Job Qualifications:

5+ years of relevant work experience

Good leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to set standards, role model, coach, teach, and set technical direction.

Teamwork/ Collaboration: Ability to work across disciplines and departments to build consensus and align technical directions. Experience using a variety of influencing skills.

Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in Engineering.

Ability to travel 10%-25% of the time

Willing to relocate throughout the career
