The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Software Engineer to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems Team located in Hill Air Force Base, UT. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.

The Boeing Strategic Deterrent Systems team is dedicated to developing and maintaining the software that powers Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) weapon system, playing a critical role in national defense. Join us in our mission to protect and serve.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our Strategic Deterrence Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full software lifecycle development of software that supports the ICBM program, contributing to the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of mission-critical systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on products that have a direct impact on national security.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, development, test and maintenance of the Performance Assessment Data System (PADS) software throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support sustainment/maintenance of the PADS operational servers (Windows Server 2019 / Oracle Database 19c).
  • Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of software tools used by the Guidance Performance Assessment team.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Document software designs, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes and tools.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in software development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2 years of experience in VB.NET (.NET framework)
  • 2 years of experience in Oracle SQL or other relational database
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Associate: $99,450 - $134,550.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
