Software Engineer

Seeking a self-motivated experienced Software Engineer with heavy experience in embedded software development following SAFe Agile practices to join Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) Software Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the C-130J/C-5 software engineering life cycle activities for Air Vehicle software products, provide technical guidance, and coordinate technical issues with other Integrated Product Teams. Must have experience with real-time embedded military aircraft avionics systems. Must have an in-depth understanding/experience of software development using PM 4001 from software/system requirements definition, software design/coding, software/system integration test and software/system qualification test. This position requires an individual who can effectively multi-task with effective time-management skills and broad technical expertise. Experience with C++, Ada95, GHS RTOS, Unix, Rational Apex development environment, and Adacore tool suites desired. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills required.

A Level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in computer science, computer engineering and/or electrical engineering.

Experience presenting and communicating across technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience with embedded real-time systems.

Experience with C++, C#.

Experience with Agile methodology and tools in the development, integration, and test of complex software systems and environments.

Desired Skills:

Experience with DO-178B/C.

Experience with static/dynamic code analysis tools.

DevSecOps experience and knowledge.

Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with others collaboratively and constructively.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

DOORS experience a plus.

Experience with Linux and associated development toolchains.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
