AI Platform Engineer

Mid-Level Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated mid-level software engineer with experience or strong interest in AI-enabled platforms/products. This role is primarily focused on hands-on development, while partnering closely with business stakeholders and other engineers to translate real-world problems into scalable, well-governed technical solutions.

The ideal candidate operates comfortably at the intersection of stakeholders, developers, and intelligent systems?writing code, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with product partners, and expanding into AI engineering and responsible AI governance.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.

Translate business use cases into clear, actionable engineering requirements.

Act as a bridge between business users and engineering teams, clarifying intent and answering questions throughout the development lifecycle.

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and backend services.

Design and implement AI-enabled solutions, such as:

Agentic AI workflows (multi-step reasoning, tool-calling, orchestration)

MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers or similar AI service interfaces

LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and structured outputs

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector search

Debug and resolve issues across application, data, and AI layers (data quality, prompt logic).

Participate in technical design reviews, AI architecture discussions, and model evaluation strategies.

Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of both traditional and AI-driven platforms/products.

Help implement AI governance capabilities, including:

Observability

Evaluation and quality measurement

Guardrails, safety controls, and policy enforcement

Compliance, auditability, and traceability

Continuously learn and adopt new tools, frameworks, and best practices related to software and AI development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

3-6 years of professional software engineering experience

Hands-on experience with Python or Java in production environments.

Solid understanding of database concepts, SQL, and data modeling.

Experience or demonstrated capability in AI-related development.

Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a hybrid role combining business analyst and software development.

Experience with AI platforms, SDKs, or frameworks (e.g., Palantir Foundry).

Familiarity with prompt evaluation, guardrails, and AI observability.

Experience designing AI systems with security, governance, and compliance in mind.

Background in data engineering, analytics platforms, or cloud-native architectures.
