Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell distributed control systems (EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC3000).
Validating customer requests, developing/maintaining/improving customer relationships, upgrades/migration planning and execution, all while ensuring flawless and on time delivery.
Subject matter expert on Experion/TPS Systems and Migrations.
Provide proactive maintenance support, drives asset optimization for individual customers.
Provide customer support on Honeywell Control Systems and serve as a customer contact for service-related issues / enquiries.
Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware / software issues including: Experion PKS, other DCS hardware / software such as LCN & TPS.
Upgrade Experion software from one software release to another software release on live control system without causing any interruption to customer's industrial process.
Migrate Legacy Honeywell control systems to Honeywell's new technology offering.
Understand customer key processes and economic drivers to translate those into business opportunities while providing timely research and recommendations.
Assist Sales during sales pursuits and be the face of Honeywell to end-users.
Learn the end-to-end product / solution development and delivery / execution of Honeywell products and solutions.
Use technical expertise of sophisticated Honeywell solutions / product offerings to improve customer experience.
Actively interface with customers at all levels. Ensures customer satisfaction through oral, written communication and on time reporting.
Collaborate with our Global Technical Support to close customer issues. Escalate customer issues through the Field Service Manager and Service Operations Leader.
Provide mentorship and training to other field engineers to expedite skills acquisition process.
You Must Have:
Qualified applicants must have an Associate's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic, Industrial, or a related field, along with 6 years of field experience in supporting Distributed Control Systems (DCS). Must have 6 years of experience with the following: DCS system configuration, testing and verification of DCS hardware and software and maintenance. Must have 2 years of experience with the following: understanding of DCS client server architecture and networking; expertise in DCS configuration, troubleshooting and Ethernet-based communications; proficiency in legacy COAX-based networks and capability to perform seamless system migrations from legacy COAX-based architecture to the latest Ethernet-based DCS systems; experience working as a Field Service Engineer at industrial plants; experience in Virtualization hardware/software, setup, and network configuration; critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex DCS system problems; ability to design/engineer solutions to prevent recurring problems; able to conduct formal meetings with customers and capable of writing, reviewing, and editing various @types of reports; expertise in developing control algorithms; experience with electronic and semiconductor components on printed circuit boards; proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications; reading and interpreting process, instrumentation and electrical drawings, diagrams, and sequences of operation. Up to 75% domestic travel is required. Telecommuting permitted.
