This position is located at the Luke Air Force Base Veterinary Treatment Facility. Responsibilities include receiving telephone calls and visitors, determining the nature of the call or visit, obtaining identifying information, verifying the patient's eligibility for treatment, updating the existing medical record or preparing new records, scheduling appointments, completing client admission forms, screening and updating medical records, reviewing discharge information with clients, maintaining clinic cleanliness, dispensing medications, annotating prescriptions, refilling prescriptions according to policies and procedures, completing bi-weekly payroll reports, preparing and submitting end of month reports, assisting with yearly clinical budget preparation, initiating personnel actions, monitoring and replenishing inventory, receiving payments for services, balancing cash and checks daily, making daily bank deposits, processing purchasing documents, and serving as clinic ordering official and Government Purchase Cardholder.
Requirements include progressive work experience demonstrating the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties of the position, basic computer skills, experience in using point of sales software, basic arithmetic expertise, typing proficiency of 40 WPM, and clerical experience in a veterinary clinic or equivalent. Salary information is NF-03 $19.30 per hour ($40,280 per year). PCS costs are not authorized. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living, and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
