This position is located within the Psychiatry and Mental Health Service at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center (RLR VAMC) located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The incumbent serves as the facility Mental Health Primary Care Management Module (PCMM) Coordinator for Mental Health Services at the Richard L. Roudebush Medical Center, including the associated Community Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The incumbent also serves as assistant to the service line leadership team.
Responsibilities
PCMM Coordinator: This individual is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the PCMM database for all Mental Health Services throughout the hospital service area.
Service Operations Management: The incumbent manages administrative functions for Psychiatry and Mental Health evaluation of institutional priorities related to improvement activities and accreditation requiring comprehensive knowledge of methods used to gather, analyze, and evaluate information.
Administrative Technical Expert: The incumbent will serve as the focal point, local authority and expert source for information for all administrative functions of psychiatry service. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 03/10/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:
Typing Proficiency: Must be able to type 40 words per minute.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands of the position involve standard office requirements such as using the telephone, retrieving files, writing reports, data entry and maintenance of computer databases, etc. Work is typically performed sitting at a desk and using a computer.

Additional Information Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
