Account Manager

We are looking for an experienced account manager to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional post-sale customer service and ensuring client satisfaction across various inquiries and processes. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding certificates of insurance, policy changes, billing concerns, renewal timelines, and claims with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage customer issues from start to finish, including follow-ups with carriers and ensuring resolutions are communicated effectively.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of insurance policies, coverage options, and carrier procedures to confidently address customer questions.
  • Document and tag interactions systematically to improve the functionality of AI tools used in operations.
  • Identify recurring challenges, edge cases, and inefficiencies, and collaborate with internal teams to address these issues.
  • Build trust and loyalty with customers by providing consistent, thorough, and helpful service.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer experience teams, and other stakeholders to streamline support workflows.
  • Utilize multiple systems simultaneously to provide timely and accurate responses during customer interactions.
  • Monitor and report connectivity or system-related issues to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service, insurance operations, or a similar support role.
  • Strong ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple systems and tools while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear and precise email and phone correspondence.
  • Ability to multitask effectively, including speaking, typing, and navigating systems during calls.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to adapt to emerging technologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering accurate and high-quality service.
  • Interest in advancing to leadership roles or deeper insurance-focused positions as the company grows.
