The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking a motivated, experienced, and licensed candidate for the position of Third Class Power Plant Engineer Co-Gen at the Wrentham Developmental Center (WDC). The Power Plant Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing high pressure boilers and auxiliary machinery. The Engineer ensures that each assigned power plant is operated safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications: Possession of a Third Class or higher Stationary Engineers License based on the standards established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Fire Services and pursuant to Chapter 146 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
Agency Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Schedule Information: Full-time - 40-hour weekly position Schedule - Tuesday 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Wednesday 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Thursday 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Friday 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM, Saturday 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Days Off: Sunday and Monday. Flexibility with work schedule will be required for this position.
