The Engineering Summer Intern will support ongoing projects and contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of engineering solutions within Raytheon. This role provides hands-on experience in real-world engineering applications, allowing the intern to apply academic knowledge, gain professional skills, and collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.
What you will do:
Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of engineering components, systems, or processes.
Support the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and drawings.
Collect and analyze data to support process improvements or project development.
Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
Help identify and troubleshoot technical issues under supervision.
Contribute to maintaining project timelines and ensuring quality standards are met.
Qualifications you must have:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, or related field).
This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior standing level by the start of Summer 2026.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications we prefer:
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or R).
Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in an engineering environment.
Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
