Digital Marketing Specialist
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for executing, maintaining, and optimizing marketing programs with a focus on presale and behavioral email campaigns. This role sits within the D2C Marketing team and leverages Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to deliver personalized, data-driven communications that support customer acquisition and enrollment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build, QA, and deploy email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio & Journey Builder)
- Execute presale, lifecycle, and triggered email campaigns (batch and always-on)
- Manage and maintain Journey Builder workflows, including triggers, decision splits, and timing
- Monitor automation health and troubleshoot issues to prevent campaign disruptions
- Develop and implement audience segmentation using data extensions and SQL (as applicable)
- Partner with data and technology teams on campaign requirements, data feeds, and enhancements
- Conduct end-to-end QA and UAT validation (data, logic, rendering, links) prior to launch
- Support campaign performance tracking, A/B testing, and optimization recommendations
Required skills/qualifications include:
- 3–5+ years of experience in marketing automation and/or email marketing
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio & Journey Builder required)
- Experience building and executing campaigns using audience segmentation and data-driven logic
- Strong QA discipline and attention to detail in campaign execution
- Experience managing multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred skills include:
- Experience with SQL and data extensions in SFMC
- Familiarity with lifecycle and behavioral/triggered campaigns
- Experience with presale and acquisition campaigns
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email troubleshooting
- Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization
Tools/technology include:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder)
- SQL (for segmentation and data queries)
- Email QA and testing tools
- Analytics/reporting tools (internal or platform-based)
