Urban Renewal Authority Accounting Position

The Urban Renewal Authority ("URA") is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Process payments and input invoice information into the accounting system
• Issue rental bills to the tenants of URA properties
• Prepare journal entries for accounting transactions
• Compile quarterly financial statements and reports, and support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist in annual audit exercise
• Assist in administration and maintenance of various financial systems

Requirements

• Completed secondary education with level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language in the HKDSE or with Grade E in HKCEE plus 3 years' Accounting experience; or Higher Diploma/ Associate Degree holder plus 2 years' Accounting experience; or Degree holder in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Administration or equivalent
• Hands on experience of using accounting and billing systems preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
