Job Description
This position provides direct support to the Americas Region Marketing team by conducting research to address specific business needs, performing data analyses, and creating recommendations based on findings. The intern will assist in developing an understanding of a market, its competitors, customers and their needs, and UPS strengths to create and implement strategies to drive profitable growth for the Americas region. This role involves communicating results to key stakeholders and proactively addressing related issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide insights based on rigorous analysis
- Evaluate, quantify, and prioritize marketing issues, problems, and opportunities
- Synthesize information identifying key findings and associated implications for strategy
- Define problems and key issues to efficiently solve them
- Identify key data sources, assess data quality, and understand and communicate limitations; relate and compare data from different sources
- Manage large amounts of data and select efficient analytical approaches that fit the situation
- Make logical and documented assumptions, challenge own findings
- Establish and maintain comprehensive marketplace assessments of customers and other relevant market factors
- Conduct market research clearly defining research objectives, key questions, and the plan for analyzing and applying research results
- Develop business cases to determine whether a course of action or investment adds value to the business
- Gain new and unique customer insights through data modeling, market research, frontline personnel interviews, and direct customer engagement
- Analyze issues for root causes and prioritize key issues to identify greatest opportunities

Qualifications
- Must currently be a first-year MBA student
- Proficient in use of PowerPoint and Excel
- Proficient in Spanish - preferred
- Experience with PC based analytical/data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, and SQL are preferred
- Demonstrates leadership potential, initiative, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for international business, commercial strategy, customer-focused solutions, and driving business growth
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week
- This position requires working in Atlanta, GA from late May 2026 – early August 2026
