The Engineering and Technology Department invites applications for a Manufacturing Engineering Instructional Academic Staff member to prepare career-ready engineers and engineering technologists in alignment with UW-Stout's polytechnic tenets of applied learning and research, business and industry partnerships, and career focused education. We emphasize experiential learning by providing students with authentic as well as hands-on experiences in both classroom, laboratory, and industrial settings. The Engineering and Technology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout offers six undergraduate programs, including Computer & Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (B.S. and M.S.), Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Packaging. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in at least two of the areas listed in the Responsibilities section below. The anticipated start date is August 18, 2026.
The Engineering and Technology (E&T) Department is one of eight departments in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Management (CSTEMM). The department has 31 full-time faculty and staff, four of whom are full-time technicians. The department provides courses for its well-established and accredited undergraduate programs in Computer & Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (B.S. and M.S.), Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Packaging, plus other programs throughout the University.
