The Next Generation Philanthropy team is excited to be hiring a student intern. Our office works to keep graduates of the last decade informed, involved, and invested in the University while also helping student groups fundraise. The NextGen Internship will primarily focus on social media content creation and management with some additional outreach responsibilities. The role is hybrid virtual and in-person with most work occurring virtually and asynchronously. The role is expected to provide 10 hours of work per week at a payrate of $19 per hour. Students may not work more than 20 hours per week.
The competitive applicant will be self-motivated, with the ability to independently generate and develop creative ideas for Instagram posts. A strong sense of initiative is key, as maintaining an active social media presence requires a steady flow of engaging content. They should also be collaborative, recognizing that effective content often involves input from multiple stakeholders. Asking for the right information and resources to bring ideas to life is an important part of the role.
Since our goal is to post daily, the applicant should have reliable availability and a commitment to producing content on a regular basis. Finally, the ideal candidate will be organized and future-minded, able to think ahead and align posts with key events while helping to shape and evolve our brand identity over time.
