  • Enable data-driven decision making by ensuring leaders and managers have access to accurate, timely workforce metrics and are aware of appropriate channels for data access and HR planning.
  • Directly manage and mentor HR Consulting team members, serving as an escalation point for complex matters, and leading the team in the absence of the Senior Manager, HR Consulting.
  • Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the HR function by working closely with specialist teams, promoting unified service delivery, and identifying opportunities to enhance HR services and communication.
  • Ensure governance and compliance by implementing sound protocols, monitoring adherence to University policies and legislative requirements, and promoting proactive management of WH&S and Workers Compensation responsibilities.

About you

  • Graduate qualifications in a relevant field and/or an equivalent combination of training and professional experience.
  • Extensive experience as a Consultant or Advisor within a large and multifaceted organisation or HR Partner wanting a career move to focus on managing a team as well as University wide project and continuous improvement initiatives exposure.
  • Experience in driving project delivery across various HR capabilities and processes.
  • A high degree of capability working with and interpreting complex Industrial elements, enterprise agreements, awards and relevant policies.
  • Elevated ability to build and manage trusted client relationships with tact and professionalism at the senior level.
  • Exceptional partnering skills as you will be liaising with the wider HR Partnering team and other HR functions to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach to service delivery.

Key benefits

  • Flexible working options to support you to balance your work and family.
  • Access to fitness passport, as well as discounted rates on university sports and fitness centers.
  • Staff study benefit on selected University of Sydney postgraduate coursework studies.
