The Patient Financial Service Representative reviews treatment plans to determine individual patient costs, review with new patients regarding benefits and costs of treatment, and determines patient eligibility for assistance programs. Enrolls patients in applicable foundations and reimbursement/assistance programs. Reviews patient accounts to perform collections and communicates with patients regarding past due amounts. Insurance benefit investigation for all new patient appointments. Assists medical billers with patient communication for a variety of matters.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Experience/Knowledge: Knowledge of basic computer operation. Required License/Certification: AB 508 Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into the department, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.01.
