Modern systems and platforms in the Space and Defence sectors are critically dependent on advanced wireless technologies for communications and remote sensing in a contested environment. The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Queensland (UQ) has solidified its status as a global leader in related Microwave/Millimetre-Wave Engineering.
To maintain UQ's global leadership and ensure continuity in this rapidly advancing field, we are seeking a Senior Lecturer (Level C) to play a central role in Critical RF and Antenna Engineering Technologies and strengthen research and teaching within EECS.
Within EECS, you'll find thriving teams driving innovation in Biomedical Imaging Technologies and Engineering; Optics and Photonics; Electromagnetics; Signals Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Human-Centred Computing, Power and Control Engineering, and Data Science. Key responsibilities will include:
Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
