Requirements and Nature of Work:

Job Description

As a laboratory demonstrator, you are responsible for supervising one laboratory session per week (6 hours in duration). During the lab sessions, you will be expected to give short presentations to students and evaluate their performance. Responsibilities also include grading lab reports, assessing oral presentations, and responding to student emails. Implementation of safety guidelines in the laboratory is also required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Biochemistry or equivalent
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of biochemistry techniques
  • Must have completed training sessions on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Reading knowledge of English is an asset
