The College of Business, Marketing Department at the University of Nevada, Reno, invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track, Full-Time Lecturer/Teaching Professor in the area of Marketing and Tourism Management. The appointment will begin in January 2026. We seek a Tourism expert with excellent communication skills (both in writing and in person), solid professional work experience in Tourism or related fields, and a demonstrated record as an effective teacher. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate classes, participation in service activities, and other academic responsibilities.
Candidates should be able to teach an Introduction to Tourism course and help develop additional courses related to Tourism that may evolve into a minor or other academic credential. The individual would also be expected to continue to meet AACSB faculty qualification standards by remaining active through professional practice, consulting, or applied work that maintains relevance to the field.
Opportunities to teach additional courses on-line and in the summer are also available. Candidates for this position must be willing to teach morning, afternoon, and evening courses as necessary.

Lecturer - Master's degree in Business, Tourism, Marketing, or a closely related field and substantial work experience as a professional in tourism or related fields.
Teaching Assistant Professor - Ph.D. in Business, Tourism, Marketing, or a closely related field and substantial work experience as a professional in tourism or related fields.

Compensation Grade
Lecturer/Teaching Professor - 9 month. Salary is competitive and commensurate with related education and experience.
