Participates in planning, development, coordination, implementation, and management of daily operations of Facilities Services. Oversees personnel management and staff development for Facilities Services units. Manages the delivery of facilities services across UMMC campuses and champions department initiatives, goals, policies, and procedures.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of facilities experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Certifications, Licenses, or Registration Required: Valid MS Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare experience
Knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance, and repair practices. Knowledge of management principles, strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures to support department goals and initiatives. Ability to act as a catalyst for department improvement. Project management, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to use appropriate judgement to resolve issues and effectively handle challenging situations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate at all levels. Ability to provide improvement in workplace safety and environment practices and procedures. Proficient computer skills.
