Lindner seeks a highly motivated and organized professional to help coordinate college events and support building operations of its new 225,000 sq. ft. Carl H. Lindner Hall. The Coordinator Of Building Services will report to the Director Of College Facilities. This position will be integral in overseeing all aspects of college event planning, including, but not limited to, facilities, technology, marketing, and catering needs. It will also support the Director with building operations, maintenance/repairs, and other special projects as determined.

An ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and customer service skills and would be available as needed on weekends and evenings to oversee college events. The candidate should also model the college's values that empower problem solving and nurture our collaborative community.

This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY following a required training period. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

Event Coordination:

  • Serve as lead coordinator for college events working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure all event details and objectives are met.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with college and university policies and procedures.
  • Manage the event scheduling system, serving as a resource to students, faculty, and staff, and troubleshooting problems as needed.
  • Provide space management reports and other documentation as assigned.
  • Perform other event support as needed.

Building Maintenance:

  • Serve as liaison with maintenance, operations, vendors/contractors, and internal/external partners to ensure the building is properly maintained.
  • Report, plan, and coordinate repairs/alterations projects.
  • Monitor and maintain the use of classroom furnishings and audiovisual equipment, including reconfiguration as needed to support optimal classroom functions.
  • Coordinate service functions (i.e., shipping/receiving, supplies, deliveries, equipment, etc.).
  • Monitor key issuance policy, inventory and security issues.

Other:

  • Serve on internal and university-wide committees as requested.
  • May supervise or coordinate special projects.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of related experience.
