IBE Student Services Lead, Integrated Business Engineering, Systems and Industrial Engineering
The IBE Student Services Lead supports the academic success, engagement, and overall experience of students in the Bachelor of Science in Integrated Business Engineering (IBE). Serving as the primary point of contact for students, this role provides advising support, connects students with campus resources across the College of Engineering and the College of Management, and advocates for student success while fostering a strong sense of community.
Reporting to the IBE Program Director, the position also manages day-to-day program operations, coordinates student services, events, outreach, and partnerships, and supports recruitment, assessment, and program logistics. The IBE Student Services Lead plays a key role in delivering a distinctive, high-quality student experience and advancing the mission and visibility of the IBE program.

Duties & Responsibilities
Student Success and Program Advising
- Act as the primary IBE point-of-contact to students, including assisting with academic advising and career preparation, supporting social integration, and addressing wellness concerns.
- Direct students to the appropriate advisor or other resources across the College of Engineering and the Eller College of Management. Mediate between the two colleges for policy differences.
- Advocate for students across different stakeholders to support their academic success.
- Supervise and mentor student employees.
- Serve as staff advisor for IBE-related student clubs.
Student Engagement and Experience
- Coordinate the logistics and operations of the student services provided by the program to ensure a unique (magical) experience.
- Track student retention and progress (e.g., student Capstone and other project deliverables) to ensure a seamless and productive journey to include job and graduate school placement following graduation.
- Lead the design and administration of special events and conferences, ensuring all activities meet program objectives and remain within available resources.
- Lead the IBE program efforts for the Summer Engineering Academy and the Entrepreneurship Summer Academy to reach high school students.
- Coordinate student activities and events to provide IBE students with an exceptional extracurricular experience.
- Support student recruitment efforts through marketing and developing engagement opportunities.
Program Operational Management and Partnership Development
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IBE program, including budget administration, financial tracking, supply management, and maintenance of the program's organizational calendar to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Provide administrative, logistical, and scheduling coordination for program activities, including conferences, travel, curricular support (e.g., syllabi coordination and course material orders), and student participation in academic and professional forums.
- Serve as a primary liaison with internal university offices and external industry partners to support internships, speaker engagements, site visits, and career development initiatives aligned with the IBE mission.
- Manage the procurement, organization, and distribution of IBE-specific materials and branded merchandise to reinforce program identity and ensure a consistent, high-quality program presence.
Program Coordination, Marketing, and Assessment
- Collect and analyze data and generate reports on program activities, program metrics of success, and graduation statistics; adjust and independently make changes to improve overall success.
- Coordinate and collaborate with campus partners to maximize resources.
- Coordinate advisory board activities, including scheduling, travel logistics, catering, and documenting recommendations.
- Coordinate with marketing and recruiting teams across the College of Engineering, the Eller College of Management, and the University of Arizona to promote the IBE program internally and externally, including outreach to local southern Arizona high school students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly prefer backgrounds in engineering and/or business.
