Position Highlights - The Department of Physiology is accepting applications for an Academic Support Professional position, beginning June 2026. The selected candidate will work closely with faculty, lab coordinators, teaching assistants, staff, and students to coordinate activities for the Human Anatomy and Physiology Course and support the Physiology and Medical Sciences undergraduate program. The department is seeking an individual with experience working with various groups, demonstrated teamwork, strong organizational skills, and experience with equipment maintenance. Duties & Responsibilities - Execute daily operational and administrative tasks under supervision to support Human Anatomy and Physiology, our largest service course in the department, thus supporting departmental objectives. These tasks include scheduling for various groups of faculty, staff, teaching assistants and preceptors across multiple instructional spaces, coordinating room usage, exam proctoring logistics including make up exam schedules, photocopying, and storage of old exams. Facilitate communication, meetings, and events for instructional staff and assist with course or department events. Oversee maintenance, organization, inventory, and functionality of lab spaces and study centers, including coordinating repairs, support, and safety compliance. Manage ordering, receiving, equipment transfer and allocation of course materials. Serve as a primary point of contact for real-time operational support of Human Anatomy and Physiology courses. Communicate regularly with course directors and lab coordinators regarding course needs. Maintain a consistent on-campus presence during standard business hours to support timely identification and resolution of urgent course, instructional, and facility-related needs. Track and analyze student performance trends between lab sections and across semesters. Maintain and update course LMS sites each semester and oversee team communication tools.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of university systems, departmental tools, policies, and administrative procedures. Ability to coordinate scheduling, communications, meetings, and events in support of instructional staff and departmental operations. Skilled in inventory management, organization, ordering, and maintenance of laboratory materials and supplies. Ability to gather data, maintain accurate records, and support reporting functions while collaborating effectively with supervisors and team members on projects and daily tasks.
