Job Summary

Key responsibilities include: supervise the scheduling team, including training, performance evaluation, and resource management; coordinate the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring optimal use of operating rooms and staff availability; develop and implement scheduling policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy; collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and other departments to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure smooth operations; monitor and evaluate scheduling performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions; ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate records of scheduled procedures and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders; foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and staff engagement.

Qualifications

High School Diploma

Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical scheduling or a similar role

Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Certification in surgical scheduling or similar credentials preferred
