Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Philadelphia area for more than 40 years. The Plant Operations Manager (POM) performs a variety of tasks, including support for all hospital management in the functional areas of supplies, transportation, bio-medical equipment, and communications. Will assist the Plant Operations Director in ensuring the maintenance needs of the facility are in compliance with licensing and regulatory bodies.
Duties include, but are not limited to: IT Support, transportation, pricing, purchasing, maintaining purchase order logs, tracking of supplies, filing, supply distribution, and copier/fax machine/computer support. The POM assumes the responsibilities of the Director of Plant Operations in his/her absence. The POM must be an independent self starter that requires little to no supervision and uses good judgment when performing job functions.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalency required; Computer literacy required, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Requirements: Preferred experience in operating/testing and inspecting a variety of bio-medical equipment, ensuring proper safety precautions and completion of manufacturer inspections and testing requirements. Should have an understanding of basic regulations pertaining to fire, safety, physical plant, and The Joint Commission requirements, as well as a basic knowledge in the area of building maintenance. Must be able to communicate in a clear concise manner both verbally and in writing.
Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.
