Position Summary: Oversees daily revenue cycle activities for local business office functions, which includes payer credentialing, physician payer enrollments, evaluation of charges, billing, account receivables, collections including single case agreements, and denials. This position sets priorities for staff and is heavily involved with patient access activities as well as cbo communication/coordination. Responsibility also includes managing local foundations, pbx, and financial needs assessment center that does eligibility/referrals for a variety of local and state mandated indigent health programs. This individual will be responsible for assisting in planning, implementing, and managing processes to ensure maximum reimbursement for the health system, within legal and contractual guidelines. This position supports an organizational culture for service excellence and practices the service excellence standards to all customer groups.

Job Duties: Demonstrates leadership in the provision of departmental services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout NWTHS as part of the revenue cycle process. Participates in and supports a process to measure, assess, and suggest/implement performance improvement processes across departments. Manages the daily operations and activities of NWTHS business office, foundations, and fnac functions.

Qualifications Education, training, experience and licenses/registrations required: Degree in accounting/finance or health related field or equivalent experience preferred. Two to five years of experience in a healthcare environment or hospital required. Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility, self-motivation, ability to function independently and high tolerance for stressful situations. High level of computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.

Physical and sensory requirements: Ability to read and write in English. Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others. Ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions. Bending, lifting (10-20 lbs), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling, prolonged standing or sitting. Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
