Position Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily HR operations and serves as a resource to employees, leaders, and other stakeholders. Under the direction of the HR Director, this position provides administrative and operational support across various functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and HR systems. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries from employees, leadership, and external contacts.
- Coordinate and track new hire onboarding, ensuring timely collection of required documentation such as credentials, licenses, and certifications in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policies.
- Support the planning and execution of new hire orientation sessions.
- Process and track applications for volunteers, interns, and student placements; ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met prior to start.
- Manage personnel actions and related documentation in HRIS and personnel files.
- Assist with recruitment initiatives, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and attending job fairs.
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant employee records; regularly conduct audits to ensure adherence to internal and external compliance standards.
- Organize and archive terminated employee records per retention policies.
- Support the Learning & Development function by tracking training completion and notifying leaders of compliance gaps.
- Maintain and update records related to employee driving authorizations.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement and recognition events.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including special projects and cross-functional collaboration.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a Human Resources or related office environment.
- Preferred: College coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
