The Director of Women’s Services has 24-hour responsibility for personnel, nursing care and operations of the Women’s Center which primarily includes labor and delivery, post partum, nursery and GYN services.

General:

  • Planning, coordinating, operationalizing and evaluating program growth, fiscal responsibility of the program and the quality and appropriateness of nursing care provided on the units
  • Collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer in setting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating safe, high quality, evidence-based standards of care and practice
  • Participates on assigned hospital and medical committees
  • Leads patient experience for the unit/department
  • Promotes collaborative relationships among nursing services, other departments, the community and medical staff
  • Collaborates with Senior Management team in developing strategies for department growth
  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
  • Demonstrates service excellence standards at all times
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum associate degree in nursing required; BSN required, or completion of degree within 1.5 years
  • MS, nursing preferred; MBA or other health related masters will be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in obstetrical nursing
  • Minimum of 5 years in acute care, current experience in acute care
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing management at charge nurse level or higher
  • Current and active BLS; ACLS & NRP
  • Current RN license in the State of Florida
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
