The Director of Clinical Services is a strategic and clinical leader responsible for overseeing the Social Services Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role provides direct supervision and leadership to departmental staff, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and federal/state-mandated requirements. The Director is accountable for meeting budgetary expectations and optimizing departmental performance through effective resource management and program development. In addition, the Director will champion and lead the organization's trauma-informed approach to patient care, fostering a culture of safety, trust, and empowerment across the hospital. This includes training and mentoring staff in trauma-informed principles, integrating these practices into departmental operations, and ensuring that all patient interactions reflect an understanding of the impact of trauma on health and behavior.

Key responsibilities include providing clinical oversight on complex cases, guiding crisis intervention strategies, and supporting discharge planning processes. The Director will lead the development and implementation of innovative programming tailored to patient needs, ensuring that the programming schedule is executed effectively and consistently. A critical component of this role is the creation and integration of impactful interventions that enhance overall patient satisfaction and outcomes. The Director of Clinical Services serves as a key consultant and collaborator across interdisciplinary teams, promoting excellence, compassion, and continuous improvement in social service delivery.

Requirements: Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health care setting, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. License: Must possess a state license within two years of employment and must be state licensed in social work or clinical related mental health field (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT). Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. Must obtain CPR & CPI Certification.
