This opportunity is a full time position and offers full benefits and a flexible schedule. Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility, has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The standards of practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications

Basic Purpose: Under the direction of a management council member, plans, organizes, directs, and supervises department programs. Ensures service excellence development, personnel management, and resource allocation and control. Assumes direction of participation in special projects as needed. Coordinates hospital-wide compliance with state and federal regulations.

Job Requirements: BSN required; Masters preferred. Current Texas nursing license or compact license. BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS, and PALS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. TNCC within 12 months of hire/transfer. Requires at least five (5) years supervisory/management experience. Management experience in a high volume acute care hospital required. Experience in a high growth healthcare system strongly preferred. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served. Must have excellent team-building abilities and a thorough understanding of the critical care department. Excellent communication skills, verbally and written. Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities. Excellent organizational skills. Strong computer skills with a variety of applicable programs. Able to effectively lead a high volume of departmental employees.
