Director Of Ancillary Services

The Director of Ancillary Services serves as the primary representative in the daily operations of the Dietary and Environmental Services departments. Dietary responsibilities include safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management, financial performance, infection control/sanitation, and overall department function. As the primary leader for the Environmental Services department, the Director of Ancillary Services is responsible for executing company and facility environmental services programs and procedures by directing the training and provision of services by Environmental Services and Linen staff.

Essential job functions include maturity, good judgment, the ability to work comfortably with people in the department; the ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services; good organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to identify defects in the preparation and service of food as well as insure that the provision of environmental services throughout the building including patient care areas. Responsible for responding effectively to changing demands. Must be able to work under pressure and maintain composure in stressful situations, to use good judgment and available resources, be detail oriented, and meet established deadlines regardless of the presence of adverse conditions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to DHL's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer. Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor Degree in business or related field required; Master's Preferred. Five years of relevant experience in similar role.
