Clinical Services Therapist - Inpatient Adolescent Unit Job Description

The Brook – KMI is a 98-bed hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient, extended care, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors. Our specialized treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, pastoral counselors and activity therapists. The Brook Hospitals prides itself upon the fact that our patients are referred directly to us by local professionals and organizations: physicians, psychologists, social workers, employee assistance professionals, community mental health centers, hospitals, schools, courts, social service agencies and managed care organizations. Job Duties: The Clinical Therapist is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team working with our adolescent, chemical-dependent population. Major job functions include: obtaining psycho-social assessments; conducting family/group therapy on assigned cases; complete documentation per hospital policy and procedure; case coordination; coordinate discharge planning; assist in developing and maintaining community resource information; performs marketing functions as assigned; assists in the maintenance of the program environment in compliance with policies of safety and security; ensures good clinical judgment to ensure optimum patient care; participate in continuing education activities.

Qualifications

Education & License/Certification: Required: Master's Degree from an accredited school in the Behavioral Sciences

Required: Must be licensed or under supervision in state of Kentucky (CSW/LCSW, MFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPCC, LPA, LPP)

Experience: Preferred: One to three years inpatient behavioral health work

Preferred: Experience working with chemical dependent adolescents in a clinical setting

Preferred: Dually licensed with a TCADC/LCADC along with one of the licenses mentioned above
