Associate System Engineer

The Corporate Information Security Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate System Engineer.

With some guidance from experienced staff, the Associate System Engineer supports various application environments on a Windows platform in order to ensure high availability and business continuity in accordance with department operating procedures and sound systems administration practices.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Implements and maintains Windows servers to support the implementation of UHS clinical, business, and security applications or application environments and platforms.
  • Oversees Active Directory.
  • Monitors system logs, performs operating system upgrades.
  • Creates and maintains documentation of application servers.
  • Supports the overall technical infrastructure related to assigned server environment.
  • Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center.
  • Implements modifications to existing systems or applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of Windows servers, domain servers and supporting applications.
  • Knowledge of networking technology. Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience with Active Directory user management.
  • Ability to completely document systems as built.
  • Demonstrated problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills required for problem definition and resolution.
