Your part in our UnitingCare team

  • Work in partnership with the person being supported, their family and informal support networks, to attain the hopes and aspirations they have established for their lives
  • Provide support to people in their everyday living situations, including personal care as identified, with an emphasis on choice, enhancing quality of life
  • Participate in the development, implementation and review of individual plans that focus on the life hopes and aspirations of people
  • Enable people to attain personal autonomy over their own lives and the services which they receive
  • Recognise and uphold the right to respect, privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family

What makes a difference for us?

  • Able to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment and provide excellent support to clients and co-workers
  • Being flexible (able to work varied hours and days) and reliable to meet the needs of the people we support
  • Able to effectively communicate in spoken and written English
  • Experience working in the Disability, Aged and Community sector is ideal but not essential – as long as you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening check and Blue Card – don't worry if you don't have one, as we can help you apply prior to employment
  • Open Drivers License; and
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (required before you start)
