Your part in our UnitingCare team

The Time for Grandparents is part of the Older Persons Program and assists Grandparents raising grandchildren in Queensland. Using a high level of judgment and knowledge of resources available across the State, the Information Support Officer provides expert advice, support and assistance to callers accessing the Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for people referred into the Time for Grandparents program
  • Provide warm advice and support to callers accessing the Time for Grandparents Program
  • Focus on safety, wellbeing, reducing isolation and increasing opportunities for respite and recreation.
  • Advocating for the independence, dignity and choice of older people.

  • Experience in working with older people, their families and advocates
