We want people who are great as individuals, and even better in a team.

We're on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Analyst (Operations) to join our Cyber team in Digital & Technology.

In this full-time, permanent role, you'll play a critical part in protecting our organization by operating, engineering, and continuously improving cyber security controls across on-premise and cloud environments.

Working closely with technology teams and cyber specialists, you'll help detect, respond to, and reduce cyber risks in a complex healthcare and community services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and optimize core cyber security platforms including endpoint protection, SIEM, identity and access management, email security, vulnerability management, and data protection.
  • Monitor and analyze security events to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalous activity.
  • Lead and contribute to the technical response to security incidents, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident review.
  • Validate the effectiveness of cyber security controls and implement practical, risk-based improvements.
  • Perform hands-on security engineering activities such as configuration changes, control uplift, integrations, and tooling improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve security issues and improve control effectiveness.
  • Communicate operational security risks clearly and escalate material risks as required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in cyber security operations, engineering, or incident response roles.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles and technologies including endpoint protection, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and improving security controls in enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex technical challenges.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A practical, outcomes-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Working with us means stepping into a role that's as broad as it is meaningful. You will gain exposure to:

  • A complex and varied technology environment supporting health, aged care, and community services.
  • A wide range of cyber security technologies, threats, and operational challenges.
  • Opportunities to grow your technical depth and shape your cyber security career.
  • Be part of an exceptional team, whom all love what they do, and work collaboratively.
  • Work as a direct report to the CISO.

And The Perks? We've Got Plenty:

  • Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance.
  • Access to salary packaging, meal, and entertainment benefits - up to $15,900 per year tax free as well as up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income to pay for meal and entertainment benefits.
  • A recognition and rewards platform, providing employee discounts at hundreds of retailers, including everyday expenses, holidays, health insurance, a wellbeing program, and employee assistance program.
  • Career development opportunities to challenge yourself, grow, and make a meaningful difference.
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave and 2 weeks paid partner leave, available after 6 months service, in addition to the government scheme.
  • Diversity and inclusive leave, offering paid gender affirmation leave and cultural leave options (paid and unpaid) for those who may celebrate Lunar New Year, Diwali, Ramadan, NAIDOC weeks, and other significant cultural events.

We're committed to creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments for all—especially children, young people, and the elderly. Our services are built on trust, care, and a deep sense of responsibility.
