As part of our Responsible AI (RAI) Program, the Associate Director of Training and Communications will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive education strategy that supports ethical, transparent and compliant AI practices across the enterprise. This newly created role will be instrumental in embedding RAI principles into the culture and operations of UnitedHealth Group.
This role will be responsible for the frontline communication and engagement approach for Responsible AI, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms, documentation, guidance, and training. You will assess RAI Program guidance, content and training needs to build a strategic content delivery plan to meet RAI upskilling needs with just-in-time, audience-specific resources that are easy to find and digest. This role will work with stakeholders across Technology, Clinical, and broader enterprise leadership to ensure guidance and content is aligned with broader communications, training and development strategies. You will use your expertise and high judgment to identify opportunities for continuous improvement throughout the program, balance shifting priorities toward the overall mission of the program. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and execution-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and is passionate about ethical technology and compliance. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Responsible AI Governance and collaborates closely with Legal, Compliance, Data Science, and Technology teams.
You will build on your knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts to attain expertise on topics related to the Responsible AI, such as how to evaluate AI for performance, fairness, or security. In this central role, you will influence across the enterprise by interacting with data science leaders and functional business executives to educate and advise on key concepts related to responsible AI. This role is essential to the company's success as the RAI Program has increasing requirements for standards based on emerging technology and to meet the increasing market demand.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
