United Data Mining and Recovery Operations Analytic and business planning Leader manages and analyzes the profitability and productivity across segments. The role of Associate Director of Analytic and Business Planning will actively review and improve the performance of production analytics while ensuring SLA (Service Level Agreements) adherence. This role will engage with matrix partners, conducting analysis on the profitability of the analytics and is accountable across applications in DMRO. This role leads the business planning and wave item performance and execution.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the DMRO Data strategy: Conduct, manage, and execute the Data strategy, which includes analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning.
  • Develop and enhance the appropriate set of standard metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and other reporting.
  • Monitor performance, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of major variances and support business planning across the organization.
  • Participate in monthly business reviews (MBRs) with Operations leadership along with design and ongoing support of content required.
  • Develop, support, and present ad-hoc client and operational reports.
  • Represent business operations owners/leaders as necessary to report on and explain results.
  • Responsible for execution and management of Data Mining Recovery Operations WAVE portfolio.
  • Interpret data to provide actionable insights that drive operational efficiency, productivity improvement and operational optimization.
  • Partner with Analytics team to develop new analytics, implement enhancements, and ensure hit rate and profitability are achieved.
  • Partner with Growth and Exploratory team to identify root causes for leakage and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with UHC Payment Integrity to identify claim spend trends and factors which may impact DMRO.
  • Act as a change leader, collaborating between production operations and matrix partners to embed data, analytic, and business process changes.
  • Lead the Operational Excellence program across DMRO
  • Any other activities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive Claims knowledge and/or Payment Integrity experience
  • Intermediate SQL, analysis, and data Visualization skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving mindset and data analysis skills
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to design and perform insightful analyses as required to identify key business drivers of growth and efficiency / productivity, answer strategic questions and support delivery of internal business goals and client commitments
  • Experience in analysis of business processes and workflows, and providing evaluations, benchmarks, and/or process improvement recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Power Point and Access
  • Experience working with health care operations
  • High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Highly motivated and driven individual with the ability to think creatively
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and supporting functions to organize and align resources to achieve objectives described above while minimizing impact on business operations owners
  • Ability to manage a complex system of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting deliverables effectively and accurately as required by internal stakeholder and external business customers
