The Sales Associate is responsible for performing daily branch and customer service duties; providing customers with efficient and accurate transaction processing; promoting business by providing quality customer service and handling routine customer inquiries; providing customer referrals for products and services and must have the ability and desire to interact in a team environment and be willing to contribute to team goals.
Responsibilities include: operating with accuracy and efficiency with core banking systems and processing transactions; balancing assigned cash daily and maintaining strict adherence to security procedures; identifying customers by understanding and obtaining proper documentation; complying with all department and company policies; preparing mandatory currency transaction reports; contributing to meeting monthly branch and individual scorecard goals; ensuring delivery of excellent customer service; promoting and maintaining positive relationships with all internal and external customers; keeping current and being knowledgeable in order to communicate the Bank's products and services to clients; and providing coverage at Branches as staffing needs require.
Skills/qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of the Bank's in-house Sales Associate Training Program; previous customer service contact experience; ability to demonstrate a sales-oriented professional demeanor; excellent communication skills; experience in handling money; proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; understanding and working knowledge of core banking system; detailed oriented; professionalism and confidentiality; and flexibility on work schedule as business needs arise.

Essential functions include: sitting and standing for extended periods of time; ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components; ability to reach over teller counter or desk area to receive customer transaction documents; ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds; ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization; and ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data.
