Senior Account Manager

What You'll Do

  • Manage client accounts at all levels, from large campaigns to smaller projects, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and resolving challenges effectively.
  • Develop creative and strategic proposals to address client needs and grow account opportunities.
  • Lead account direction, overseeing project execution and ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Manage and mentor Account Managers and junior team members, fostering professional growth and performance.
  • Create costings, manage project schedules, and oversee budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with creative, production, and strategy teams to deliver impactful work.
  • Negotiate with clients to advocate for agency interests and drive favorable outcomes.
  • Support the development of new project pitches, including briefing and timeline planning.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and expand business with existing clients.
  • Work with domestic and global affiliated agency partners on integrated campaigns.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage resources for all-level project needs.
  • Represent the agency in all-level client discussions and industry meetings.
  • Travel locally and internationally for client meetings, shoots, and events as required.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in account management as well as possessing extensive knowledge of production processes.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the advertising industry, including social media and/or related digital marketing fields.
  • Business to native-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
  • An action-oriented, entrepreneurial spirit with a laser focus on process and an eagle eye for detail.
  • A team player with an inclination to think outside of the box to imagine new ideas and willingness to roll up your sleeves to help figure them out.
  • Ability to recognize great ideas and empower the creative teams to push the boundaries on the work we make, while providing the business context needed for the work to be successful.
  • A thirst for pioneering new ways of forging and developing client business relationships.
  • Ability to push back clients when necessary and conduct hard negotiations.
  • IT literate - Powerpoint, Keynote, Excel, Google Online Platforms.
  • Ability to travel to the office during working hours.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
