Assistant Building Services Worker

Performs cleaning and maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title. Building Services, Grounds, Special Services, and Recycling employees perform a variety of tasks to maintain the operations, cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of facilities and the surrounding grounds. Develops and operates refuse waste reduction and recycling programs. Delivers and receives heavy materials and supplies. Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs University vehicles and equipment. Maintains pools, fitness, and other related equipment.

This is a Union position for which The Communications Workers of America has been designated as the exclusive representative. We are actively hiring and have multiple positions available. This position involves shift work, and the shift will be selected for the employee based on University needs.

There are current vacancies available on third shift, which runs Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Additionally, there are second shift opportunities available for this position.

Competitive Pay & Job Security: $15.00/hr. starting pay, after one year $15.43/hr., structured union increases, and year-round employment.
